A decade and a half of helping brands perform

15 years ago, having just walked out of a corner office overlooking Times Square (and never looking back), we launched Proscenium.

To mark the occasion, we did something we've never done on the ProCast: got Proscenium’s founders Mark Shearon and Chuck Santoro on camera together to reminisce about the journey from forming a humble agency (who met around the glass-top tables that were included in the lease) to growing the kind of team that can pull off world-class events at a moment’s notice.

The result is a special anniversary episode of the ProCast: our first-ever video episode! ProCast host and Senior Creative Director Jeremy Dobrish sits down with Mark and Chuck to look back at the early days, the risks, the wins, and the stories that never made it into a pitch deck.

Thank you to every client, partner, freelancer, and friend who's been part of the ride.

You can go to our episode page to listen, or watch it here.

Read a few of our favorite moments.

On the early days:

Chuck: “ I am super proud of the team. Mark and I said from the beginning we wanted people to do their best work, be their authentic selves, and I think that's a big accomplishment that we've had from the first day 15 years ago to today.”

On taking pride in facing challenges:

Mark: “I wouldn't change a thing. Even the more difficult things. They test you and they make you better. If you surround yourself with great people, you can manage almost anything.”

On Proscenium’s theatrical roots:

Chuck: “I came from a theater background where I was directing actors. Now my actors are CEOs. We do these shows, but we open and close on the same day!”
